Roboze Application by MAU: precision and repeatability for finished parts in the Motorsport sector

Metal Replacement: cutting production costs and accelerating the realization times

MAU, Manifattura Additiva Umbra, is a company composed of young professionals, specialized in additive manufacturing of prototypes and finished parts for the aerospace, automotive and automation industry. They suppport customers with their projects, accelerating their launch on the market.

After a brief experience in the world of 3D printing with Consumer machines, MAU decided to implement a Roboze solution within their site. The high precision and repeatability, combined with the offering of composite materials and high performance polymers, allows the company to rapidly produce significant parts with mechanical characteristics comparable to production with traditional methods.

Design and production of the chain slider of a motorcycle with the Roboze 3D printing solution

An example is the design and production of a chain slider of an off-road motorcycle.

The part is traditionally produced in aluminium with an adapted bracket and a support with Teflon guide. Thanks to the Roboze 3D printing solution and the Carbon PA material, carbon fiber filled nylon, MAU has not only accelerated the realization times by 100% and cut costs by 180% compared to other traditional methods, but has managed to customize each part adapting it to the design of all types of motorcycles.

“The Roboze printer has given us the opportunity to satisfy various requests. Its high precision and process repeatability, ease of use and reliability of the machine and the materials offered, allows us to access new business opportunities by expanding our offering of services.”

Andrea Rondoni, Co-founder di MAU
