Sandro De Poli, president of AVIO AERO- a GE Aviation Business, joins the Advisory Board of Roboze
We are honored to announce a new member to the Roboze Advisory Board, Sandro De Poli, chairman of the Board of Avio Aero, a GE Aviation business that operates in design, production, and maintenance of civil and military aeronautical components and systems.
A great connoisseur of the traditional manufacturing processes and at the forefront of the development of additive manufacturing techniques and the digitalization of production processes, Sandro De Poli began his career in the electromedical sector of Siemens. In 1982, he joined the GE Medical System team and after important international assignments in 1993, he began management of the Italian company.
His vision of global manufacturing, intuition and experience led him to his appointment in 2011 as President and CEO of General Electric Italy and Israel. Thanks to the experience gained in General Electric, he has held the role of chairman of the Board of Avio Aero since January of 2019.
Digitization will allow a greater level of control of all stages of the production process and of the way in which the machines work and are operated. I chose to bet on Roboze because I recognize in its technological ecosystem, and in the vision of the team, exactly this high level of control and flexibility, with 3D printing solutions increasingly corresponding to the current and future needs of manufacturing, totally oriented to generate new frontiers of productivity .
says De Poli.
The committee, already attended by Federico Faggin, inventor of the microprocessor, can now count on a new strategic figure to pursue its goals of technological conquest and international expansion, adding the experience of Sandro De Poli.
